Great night out on Wednesday supporting my dear friend Eric Roe for County Commissioner.
As the election nears,
I wanted to take a chance to introduce myself and where I stand on issues facing my beloved Downingtown Area School District. I am a lifelong resident of West Bradford township, who is an alumni of the Downingtown High School. I am actively engaged in the community as a member of the West Bradford Historical Committee and a proud member of the Downingtown Alumni
Association. I know this school district and I think that being on the board would be beneficial to not only myself, but also our West Bradford Community. I intend to be a School Board Director who focuses what matters -the child of the district, high quality education, and bridging the gaps the district is
currently facing.
I would like to be a unifier on the board. I intent to invite more people to the discussion on the future of the district. We need to invite the teachers to speak on what the students need and offer them a seat at the table. Administrators in the district are wonderful, but we need to hear what the teachers need in
order to serve our students.
Decisions need to be offered that show a multitude of pathways forward. Questions like “How can we better provide for students with IEPs? How are the teachers feeling about this decision? How can we do to ensure this process flows easier? How will this proposal affect district employees? Is this truly necessary?“ All questions need to be addressed at board meetings.
Taxes - a burden faced by community members with and without children- are not always the solution to solving declining test scores and they are not the solution to educational excellence. Discussions on how to bring about change in the district requiring top-down auditing in all departments. I question where we
can responsibly reduce a budget and where should we responsibly increase a budget. Until I see full fiscal auditing conducted prior to salary increases, lawsuit payouts, and any other fiscal change- I will
remain concerned about the implications of further of taxes.
As a lifelong resident of the area – I love this district. I believe in the value of a Downingtown School District education. I want the district to improve. I want to see unity. I am running because I believe we should do better. I believe there are simple and straight-forward ways to appease all stakeholders in this district. I have the expertise, experience, and humility to be the representative the people of West Bradford need. I am open to any question the voters have and believe in a open door policy when I am elected to the board. Please reach out to me with any questions at [email protected].
Can I ask for you to vote for me? Nothing would be a greater honor than to be your representative on the board.

Countdown to May 16th!!
As a lifelong member of the community, I have seen the Downingtown Area School District thrive when the focus is on academic excellence.
Furthermore, when going out and listening to my potential constituents, they have expressed that this is something that both parties agree upon.
