The Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is excited to sponsor Freehub's Mountain Bike Film Festival at the historic Yuba Theatre in Downieville on August 7th, in partnership with the Sierra County Arts Council during Downieville Classic weekend!

Freehub Magazine Presents their Film Festival at the historic Yuba Theatre, featuring Dain Zaffke's powerful "I Have It All" film, partially shot in Downieville, as he returned to racing in 2025 after losing a lung to cancer.

The Sierra County Arts Council has been hosting Banff in Sierra County since 1994. Our very first screening was held at the Sierra City Community Hall, and in 1995 Banff made its way to the Yuba Theatre, where it quickly became a beloved annual tradition.

For over three decades, this event has brought our community together to experience powerful stories of adventure, resilience, and the natural world on the big screen.
