Our Reading/Language Arts team had an incredible time at The Reading League Conference in Chicago! From inspiring sessions and research-based learning to meaningful conversations with fellow educators, we’re leaving energized with new ideas to support teachers and strengthen literacy instruction.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside so many passionate educators. We can’t wait to bring what we learned back to the schools and districts we serve. ❤️📖

🎉🎉🎉Three cheers for Bellflower Unified’s grade 4–8 teachers!

They beat the heat with literacy learning! ☀️📚

Educators came together for a bootcamp-style rendition of Getting Reading Right: Filling in the Gaps in the Secondary Classroom. Bellflower educators tackled TWO modules in ONE day 😮. Day 1 is complete, and we’re ready for more! 💪

Join LACOE’s 2026–27 California Administrators’ Reading Collaborative, a 10-session series designed to support TK–12 administrators in strengthening literacy systems and ensuring every student learns to read proficiently.

Participants will explore evidence-based literacy practices, build a Site/District Literacy Action Plan, and leave each session with practical tools and resources to support effective Tier 1 structured literacy instruction.

Thursday well spent! 🙌 A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to learn alongside an incredible group of Rowland educators during Getting Reading Right (GRR).

These educators showed up ready to learn, reflect, collaborate, and strengthen their literacy practice. They all came with the goal of ensuring every student has access to high-quality, evidence-based reading instruction. ❤️📖
