Join the Capital School District Summer Reading Challenge!

This summer, we invite all Pre-K through 5th grade students and their families to discover new stories, explore exciting adventures, and make reading part of their summer fun! In partnership with the Dover Public Library, students can participate in the “Unearth a Story” Summer Reading Program by logging reading on Beanstack between June 15 and August 14. Every type of reading counts—including shared reading, audiobooks, e-books, and independent reading. Reading together helps build a lifelong love of books while creating special family memories.

✨ Yesterday we lit up the day with a Glow Party to celebrate our amazing students who showed growth and improvement in their reading and math scores! 🌟📚➕ What a fun way to recognize their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments while celebrating the end of an incredible school year! 💚💙🧡 Keep shining bright! ✨

Mrs. Santiago’s, Mrs. Pellegrini’s, Mr. Jake, and Ms. Lewes’s classes ended the year with a super fun Glow Party! The room was glowing, the smiles were shining, and the memories were being made. 💛

What a fun way to celebrate all the learning, growing, and amazing moments from this year. We are so proud of these little learners and can’t wait to see all the bright things ahead for them! 🌟

🚀✨ Today was our final Blast Off Ceremony! ✨🚀

We celebrated our amazing kindergarten friends from Señora Rodriguez’s, Mrs. Cubbage’s, Ms. Katie’s, and Mrs. Laurie’s classes as they get ready to take off into 1st grade! 🌟

What a special day filled with smiles, proud moments, happy tears, and so many memories made. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see where their next adventure takes them! ❤️

🎓🚀 Day 2 of our Moving Up Ceremonies was just as amazing! Today we celebrated Mrs. Henry’s class and Ms. Church’s class as they get ready to blast off into 1st grade! 🌟

There were so many proud smiles, happy hearts, and of course a few sweet tears as we celebrated all of the growth, learning, and memories made this year. These kids have worked so hard and we couldn’t be more proud of them! ❤️

Today was our first “Blast Off” Ceremony for two of our amazing kindergarten classes! 🚀✨

What an incredible way to honor all of their growth, learning, and accomplishments. There were so many smiles, a few happy tears, and so many proud moments shared.

We are beyond proud of these little learners and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they will do next! 🌟🚀

Kindergarten… mission complete. First grade, here they come! ❤️

🦋 What a special day for some of our Pre-K classes! After weeks of observing and learning, our students had the opportunity to release the butterflies they watched grow from tiny caterpillars. From caterpillar to chrysalis to beautiful butterfly, the children experienced the incredible life cycle firsthand!

The excitement, wonder, and joy on their faces said it all. Watching their butterflies take flight was a memorable moment and a wonderful learning experience that they will not soon forget. 🦋✨

The smiles were priceless, and their faces truly tell the story! 💙

The smiles, laughter, and excitement on the students’ faces said it all—they had an absolute blast! From the fun activities to the beautiful weather, everything came together to make the day truly special.

A big thank you to all of our parents and guardians who came out to support and cheer on the children. Your presence helped make the day even more memorable for our students.
