Booker T. Washington Elementary is excited to host our Million Fathers March on Friday, September 18, 2026!

We’re inviting the positive male role models in our students’ lives to STEP UP. SHOW UP. AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 👏🏾

There are two great ways you can participate:
👋🏾 Greet our students as they arrive and help start their school day with encouragement and positivity.
📚 Read to a class for approximately 20 minutes and help inspire our young learners. (Don’t have a book? We’ll provide one!)

💙 Our students need to see strong, caring and supportive men showing up for them. Whether you’re a father, grandfather, uncle, mentor or big brother, we would love to have you!

🌊 Our teachers have been making waves for YEARS! 🌊 We took their years of teaching experience a little too literally… and the results are pretty adorable. 😂💙

Community support makes a BIG difference! 💙💚

We’re so thankful to Kristy Reedy and the Compass Group – Canteen North Division for their generous donation of supplies to support our students at Booker T. Washington Elementary. From backpacks and notebooks to classroom and everyday essentials, these items will go a long way in helping our students start the year prepared and ready to learn. 🎒✏️📚

We truly appreciate Kristy and the Canteen North Division team for thinking of our school and investing in our students. Partnerships like this remind us just how powerful it is when the community comes together for our children! 🫶🏽

Delaware State AFL-CIO Field & Community Services Coordinator James Landry Jr. and President Nelson Hill presented Booker T. Washington Elementary School with “Back to School” backpacks for our students.
