A monarch butterfly visited my home garden today! We will be on the lookout for them in the school garden, too!
Let us know if you see any around your house. As the children are learning, these beautiful butterflies are endangered. So we have the planted the kinds of plants they need for egg-laying and for feeding.
We have seen one so far at school.

Our Kindergarten Graduates, our oldest adventurers who are officially graduating and heading off to Kindergarten next year . We are so incredibly proud of you! You have brought so much joy, curiosity, and laughter to our classrooms. Go shine bright in your new schools! 🎒🏫

To our Rising Pre-K Stars, our 3 and 4-year-olds who are returning to us next year and moving up from preschool to PreK, congratulations on taking the next big step! We cannot wait to see how much more you grow, learn, and play with us this next school year.

A celebration this special doesn't happen without an incredible community. We want to extend a massive thank you to:

And to our amazing parents, staff and volunteers who contributed food and rolled up their sleeves to help with setup, cleanup, and organizing . We couldn't have done this without you!

El Primer Paso still has openings in its Summer Enrichment Program!

The program runs from July 6 through August 14. Full day program runs from 8:30 to 2:30. Early care and Aftercare are also available. We accept the childcare subsidy program if you qualify. Otherwise tuition is on a sliding scale based on family size and income. Meals are provided at no extra charge.

• Maternity leave position (March 2026 through October 2026)
• 40 hours per week
• Flexible schedule with some evenings

El Primer Paso Ltd., a nonprofit bilingual educational services corporation serving preschool children and their families, is seeking to employ a full-time Family Liaison/Substitute for a Maternity Leave position. Duties will include assisting in the classroom, as needed, and supporting parents through information, referral, follow-up, and parent education programs. The successful candidate will also be able to assist the Executive Director with marketing strategies using social media.
