🎤 A Night to Remember: Our First Talent Show!

What an incredible way to celebrate our very first Talent Show! Our Commons was transformed into a stage for the evening, where students shared their talents with confidence and creativity through singing, skits, and musical performances that truly highlighted the depth of talent within our school community.

We were so grateful to see families and friends come out to cheer on and support our students. The energy, encouragement, and pride in the room made the night even more special. It was a true reminder of how strong and connected our community is.

This evening was about far more than a showcase, it was a celebration of creativity and connection. Our students stepped forward, shared pieces of who they are, and lifted one another up in the process. Watching them support and celebrate each other was truly something special, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who helped make the night so meaningful.

The passion, talent, and spirit within our student body are simply inspiring!

✝️ The Feast of Corpus Christi - The Body of Christ

This day reminds us of the incredible gift of the Eucharist, Jesus truly present with us in a real and personal way. Through this sacred gift, He strengthens our faith, nourishes our souls, and calls us into deeper communion with Him. It also unites us as one body in Christ, reminding us that we are never alone, but part of a loving and faith-filled community.

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.” John 6:56

Jesus, we thank You for the gift of the Eucharist. Stay with us and guide us in Your love.

✨The Power of Creative Expression

We are proud to highlight the incredible accomplishments of our Holy Cross High School students, whose talents in both the arts and academics continue to shine. From award-winning poetry to meaningful religious artwork, their dedication and creativity are truly inspiring!

Abby O’Shea was recently named a 2nd place winner in the Court of Chancery’s 4th Annual Legal Art Contest for her poem, “Equity in Modern Society.” She’ll receive a $300 award, and her work will be recognized at the Annual Bench & Bar Conference at the Chase Center, an incredible honor.

This year, students also took on a special art challenge, creating paintings of Jesus and Mary that reflected themes meaningful to them. The result was a beautiful display of both faith and artistic expression.

Six students, Margaux Sharp, MacKenzie Lynn, Myla O'Brien, Olivia Iseminger, Zachary Klaus, and Carter Harrison, were selected by art instructor Mr. Adam Leonard for their outstanding pieces and received art-related prizes. From there, the top three works by Margaux Sharp, MacKenzie Lynn, and Myla O'Brien were chosen to be featured in school publications like cards, stationery, and advertising.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work, talent, and passion. Congratulations to everyone involved for such an outstanding year! 🎉

🗽 A Day to Remember in New York City!

Holy Cross High School students traveled to New York City for their first-ever field trip, and it was truly an unforgettable day. Filled with faith, culture, and the energy of the city, it’s an experience they’ll always remember.

We began the morning with a delicious breakfast at The Smith, getting everyone energized for the day ahead. From there, we visited the breathtaking St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where students took time for quiet prayer and reflection, an especially meaningful moment in the heart of such a busy city.

Afterward, we explored the streets of NYC, taking in the sights, sounds, and liveliness that make the city so unique. A stop in Times Square gave students the full New York experience, surrounded by bright lights and bustling crowds!

The day concluded with an incredible performance of Hadestown. A powerful and unforgettable Broadway musical that left a lasting impression on everyone. To top it all off, some of our students even received autographs from some of the actors, making the experience even more special and truly one-of-a-kind!

Even the journey itself was special. On the bus, students strengthened their sense of community as they played Heads Up, shared their own NYC experiences and perspectives, and enjoyed one another’s company. It was a reminder that some of the most meaningful moments happen in the time spent together.

We are proud of our students for representing our community beautifully and embracing every moment of this amazing inaugural trip. Moments like these reflect how, at Holy Cross High School, we are not only educating students but fostering a community and traditions that will continue for years to come. 💚

On this Memorial Day we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder of the freedoms we enjoy and the courage it takes to protect them.

At Holy Cross High School, we hold in prayer all those who have served and sacrificed, as well as their families. May we never forget their legacy, and may we strive to live with gratitude, compassion, and purpose in their honor.
