AKA Day at the Capitol on Thursday, April 23, 2026. This year’s theme, “A New Day: Shaping a Better Tomorrow with Vision, Action, and Progress,” reflects our goal of equipping sorors with the tools and information needed to make meaningful differences in their communities.


This year’s program will build on past successes, including honoring exemplary community members, while also introducing exciting additions such as presentations on voting rights, a panel discussion, youth perspectives, civic engagement training, and a keynote address. The Delaware Statewide Connection and Social Action Committee wants this experience to extend beyond a single day, using AKA DATC as a launchpad for ongoing collaborative civic engagement across the First State.
