Nelson Elementary School Nelson Elementary honors the three Nelson sisters: LaVerne, Mabel, and Martha.

Dedicated Hillsborough County educators, LaVerne and Mabel became administrators, while Martha pursued social work.

Tonight, our 5th grade families joined us for ๐—–๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—น๐˜‚๐—บ ๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜, where teachers shared important information about classroom expectations, curriculum, communication, and strategies for a successful school year.

Families also learned about the state testing that begins tomorrow and gained valuable insights into how they can support their students throughout the year.

A big thank you to our amazing teachers for their preparation and dedication, and to our families for partnering with us in your child's education.

We'd also like to give a special shoutout to our Nelson Elementary PTA for hosting dinner and a PTA meeting tonight. Their continued support of our students, staff, and school community is unmatched. We truly have the best PTA!

Weโ€™re getting everything ready for the big day! ๐ŸŽ‰ Our teachers wrapped up their final day of planning and preparation before welcoming students back on Monday, August 10th and the excitement is building across campus.Thank you to everyone who has helped support our staff this week, including the many thoughtful contributions that have kept our team encouraged, appreciated, and fueled as they prepared their classrooms for a successful school year.We can't wait to welcome our Eagles back on Monday and kick off an amazing year together! ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ’™
