Stewart County Shinwa Taido
Shinwa Taido is a soft style martial arts focusing on self defence techniques. Classes are for both adults and children.
Classes are held four Thursdays every month at the Dyers Creek First Church of God LEC. On months with five Thursdays, we will still only have classes four days. Students and parents will be notified in advance which of the five Thursdays will be a non-class day. On class days all students warm up up together beginning at 4:30pm. After warm up exercises, instruction is focused on junior students until 6:00pm. From 6pm until 7:00pm instruction is given to adults and teenagers.

Stewart County schools are closed tomorrow, so we will cancel class for tomorrow night 2-20-2025. We will find a Tuesday in March to make up the class if needed.
We will have class on Tuesday November 26th, instead of Thursday due to Thanksgiving.
Halloween is on Thursday this year and since there are 5 Thursdays in October this month, we will not have class on the 31st.

Just a reminder that we will not have class next week July 25th due to VBS going on next week. Classes will start back to normal in August.

Class schedule change for the month of July due to the 4th of July holiday and VBS at the church:
No class on Thursday July 4th.
Class on Tue July 9th and Thursday July 11th.
Class on Tue July 16th and Thursday July 18th.
No class the week of July 22nd due to VBS.
Class will go back to the regular days in August.

Congratulations to Max Welker on his promotion to 1st Kyu. Now it is time to start studying for his black belt.
We will have class on Tuesday 1-30-2024 and Thursday 2-1-2024 next week to make up for the class we missed due to weather.
