With school officially beginning we want to send out a reminder!
Please be mindful when coming down Robertson Hill. We have AM buses that pick up and PM buses that drop off our kiddos for before and afterschool care. The caution signs are on before school and after, but our buses come before the signs go on and in the afternoon after the signs go off. Safety is our top priority for this kiddos and we ask that you be watchful during the week when coming down or going up Robertson Hill. 🚌 ⚠️ 🚌 ⚠️
Thank you! Have a beautiful day!

Meet Pip and Squeak! Pip and Squeak are lion head bunnies that came from Earhart Place Farm. Pip and Squeak home is in the small office and they are part of our “Books and Bunnies Corner”
These bunnies are just the sweetest and will be shared with all the classrooms and staff. We want to allow the school agers to come over and read to the bunnies and snuggle if they just need to or had a great day! Parents have gotten some snuggles in too after work! We have fallen in love with them and are thrilled to have them as part of our family. 💙💚💙💚

Did you know the benefits of Early childhood? Below is just a few charts to inform you of the importance of early childhood education.
The Homestead serves children from ages 6 weeks to school age groups. Every classroom teacher is trained to do lesson plans for each classroom. Each classroom is like a block and as they child progress we continue to build with those blocks learning something new and adding on to what they all ready know. Our teachers work hard weekly to come up with fun activities a lot of them are so much fun that the kiddos don’t even realize they have learned something. When they finally catch on to what we have been teaching it brings a huge smile to our face and our hearts grow bigger with the love for children.

It looks like summer has landed this week and it’s a hot one! Check on your neighbors and those who may be working outside in this heat.
The Homestead will be canceling outside activities this week including water play. We want to keep our littles and staff safe and will be doing indoor large gross motor activities.
Stewart County Emergency Management/911 Communication Center shared this last week to preprare for this week. I have also added signs to look for in children and adults who may have heat exhaustion. Everyone be safe out there.

We have ended June with a blast! We started out with a magic show from magician Bruce Amato! We then started our water play which all of our groups played and enjoyed (including the teachers 😉) Our pre k and school agers are learning about the Wild West and has had Denim Dress up days where they got to wear their finest western wear. Ms. Liz from Lil’Dance Feet came out and showed both our groups some line dances and they all loved that! And we wrapped up the month by getting to feed and pet a horse, goat, and cow, plus love on some bunnies from Earhart Place Farm!
We appreciate how our community always shows out and comes to visit us through out the summer! Next month we will have more visitors and we can’t wait!
