The Hillsborough County Fair Dairy Goat Seminar is coming up, and SIGN-UP IS NOW OPEN! 🎉

Whether you’re a brand-new exhibitor, getting ready for your first show, or you’ve been showing dairy goats for years, we want you there!

We’re planning a hands-on seminar focused on helping our youth feel more prepared and confident heading into fair season — and YES, this seminar is OPEN TO ANYONE who wants to attend! You do not have to be a Hillsborough County Fair exhibitor.

We’ll be diving into things like:
🐐 Showmanship & ring skills
❓ Showmanship questions & dairy goat knowledge
✂️ Grooming, clipping & fitting
🧼 Daily care & preparation
…and plenty of opportunities to ASK QUESTIONS and practice!

Our Dairy Goat Seminar is coming up on August 29th, and we need your help putting the finishing touches on it.

This seminar is open to everyone, so whether this is your very first year or you’ve been showing for years, we’d love to have you join us!

We're officially ONE MONTH AWAY from our Hillsborough County Fair Dairy Goat Seminar, and we can't wait to see everyone!

But before we put the finishing touches on the day, we want to hear from YOU!

WHAT A DAY!

Our 2026 Hillsborough County Fair Market & Breeding Goat Seminar was a huge success, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who made it possible.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible speakers Morgan Walls, BJ Carbino and of course our amazing Hillsborough County Fair Junior Goat Committee

From selection and nutrition to grooming, fitting, showmanship, and everything in between, our exhibitors walked away with knowledge they can take back to the barn and put into practice before fair. It was amazing to see so many youth (and parents!) asking questions, taking notes, and investing in their success.

We also wrapped up Market Goat Tag-In with 28 beautiful goats! We’re excited to watch these projects grow over the coming months and can’t wait to see all of the hard work pay off in the show ring.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported today’s event—thank you for helping us continue to build a stronger, more knowledgeable goat program. This is exactly what our program is all about: learning, growing, and supporting one another.

Now… the countdown to the Hillsborough County Fair is ON!

Tag in is DONE!

We had 28 market goats come through today, and we couldn’t be more excited! The quality of this year’s group is impressive—healthy, well-grown, and looking fantastic. It’s going to be an exciting season watching these exhibitors and their projects develop.

Now it’s time to kick off our Market & Breeding Goat Seminar! We’re excited for a day full of learning, hands-on demonstrations, and tips from our amazing speakers to help exhibitors prepare for a successful fair season.

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning, and good luck to all of our 2026 exhibitors—we can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

🚨 Important Information for This Saturday's Market Goat Tag-In & Breeding & Market Goat Seminar! 🚨

As we get ready for an exciting day this weekend, we wanted to remind everyone please use the LIVESTOCK ENTRANCE to access the fairgrounds - you will NOT enter through the main fair entrance.

AGAIN - Please use the LIVESTOCK ENTRANCE to access the fairgrounds.

Whether you're attending Market Goat Tag-In, the Breeding & Market Goat Seminar, or both, all activities will take place in the Expo/Livestock Pavilion.

Please allow yourself a little extra time to get unloaded and checked in. We can't wait to see everyone this Saturday for a day of learning, preparing for fair season, and kicking off another great year in the Hillsborough County Fair Goat Program!

ANOTHER SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT!

We're excited to welcome Morgan Walls as one of our featured speakers for the Hillsborough County Fair Market & Breeding Goat Seminar!

As a former Hillsborough County Fair exhibitor, Morgan knows firsthand what it takes to prepare for show day. This year, she'll be sharing her knowledge on grooming and fitting—covering the techniques and attention to detail that can help your goat look its best when it enters the ring.

"Hi everyone! My name is Morgan Walls, and I’m so excited to spend some time with you! I’ve been involved in the livestock industry for about 12 years, and for the last 3–4 years I’ve been raising and showing goats. One of my favorite things about livestock is that there’s always something new to learn, no matter how long you’ve been doing it. I’m excited to share some of the things I’ve learned along the way, answer your questions, and hopefully help you become even more confident in the show ring. Most importantly, I hope we have a lot of fun while learning together!"

Whether you're brand new to showing or looking to sharpen your grooming and fitting skills, Morgan's session is sure to leave you with tips you can put to use right away. We can't wait to see you at the seminar!
