Following our June 23 board meeting, the Board of Directors named Carlton Lampkins, Ed.D., as its new Executive Director, commencing immediately.

Dr. Lampkins is no stranger to Communities In Schools of Delaware (CISDE). He has been the Chair and Vice-Chair of the board, a consultant for the board, and from January 2019 to January 15, 2021, he served as the Director of Operations. Since Jan. 18, 2021, Dr. Lampkins has served as the Interim Executive Director. During his 41-years in education, he has been a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal at the middle and high school levels, Director of School Leadership, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Assistant Superintendent, and Deputy Superintendent, which was his last
public education position when he retired in 2016.

“I am honored to be selected to lead CISDE. I thoroughly enjoy the work and feel confident that the team we have can take the organization to the next level where CISDE will be a household name and an integral component of the education for all Delaware students!”

Lampkins replaces Tim Foxx who moved to another opportunity in January 2021, after serving 4 years as the President/CEO.
