📣 LOOKING FOR A MATERNITY LEAVE TEACHER! 🤍

I am looking for someone dependable and responsible to help cover my maternity leave! I currently have 2 subs available, but I’m needing someone who can commit to working full-time or part-time.

🕐 Hours: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
🍎 1-hour lunch break
📅 Start date: 2nd or 3rd week of September

This position will require you to:
• Be dependable and reliable
• Pass a background check
• Pass a maltreatment check
• Be comfortable working with children and being part of a fun, caring daycare environment 🤍

Last week we had an amazing time learning at Sissy’s Corner! ❤️

The week's theme focused on community helpers and careers, and our little ones had so much fun learning from some wonderful guests!

👮 Tuesday – Law Enforcement Day!
Officer Hailie Tolich with the Russellville Police Department joined us to talk about safety. She showed the children her patrol car lights, explained the tools on her duty belt, and even passed out stickers to everyone!

🧁 Wednesday – Bakers Day!
Amanda Sanborn spent the morning with us baking and decorating cupcakes. She worked hand-over-hand with the children while they added icing, talked about colors and shapes through sprinkles and decorations, and made sure every child was included. She even gifted each child their very own apron!

💄 Thursday – Beauty & Self-Care Day!
Aly and Mallory from Capelli Salon brought their doll, Josie, to help teach the children about proper hair brushing and self-care. They sang songs, gave each child individual attention, handed out combs, head lice information pamphlets, and coloring pages for everyone to enjoy.

⚡ Friday – Lineman Day!
Ronnie with Entergy Arkansas wrapped up our week by bringing out his utility truck and safety equipment. The children got to see hard hats, gloves, sleeves, and learn about power lines and the importance of safety gear. He explained how his equipment helps keep him safe while working and finished the visit by passing out coloring pages.

A huge thank you to each of our special guests for taking the time to share their careers with our little learners. Every guest made sure each child had one-on-one interaction, asked questions, explored new tools, and learned something new. We are so grateful for the love, patience, and dedication shown to our children for community careers week! 💙

We currently have openings for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years!

We are a licensed in-home daycare with substitutes available, so we do not have to close when someone is out. Our daycare also features:
• A fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play
• Cameras in the classroom for added safety

We would love for your little one to become part of our daycare family! 🤍

Now Hiring – Full-Time & Substitute Positions at Sissy’s Corner

Sissy’s Corner, a loving in-home daycare, is looking for a full-time caregiver and a substitute to join our team! We’ll be working closely together every day, providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for our little ones.

Job Duties Include:
• Supervising and engaging children in daily activities
• Planning and assisting with age-appropriate educational and play activities
• Helping with meals, snacks, and cleanup
• Diaper changes and/or assisting with potty training
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Communicating with parents about their child’s day and needs

Requirements:
• Must pass all required background checks
• Willingness to complete training provided by Sissy’s Corner
• Love for children and patience for working in a busy daycare setting

Details:
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
• Start Date: October (no later than late October)
• Pay: Discussed during interview
• Location: Russellville, AR

On Monday July 14th, a representative from the Department of Human Services (DHS) visited my home in response to a concern regarding staff-to-child ratios. We want to clarify that the inquiry was strictly related to compliance with required staffing ratios and did not involve or suggest any form of mistreatment, neglect, or harm toward any child in our care.

Here at Sissy's Corner, the safety, well-being, and development of every child is our highest priority. We take all regulatory standards seriously and are committed to maintaining full compliance with licensing requirements. We cooperated fully with DHS during their visit and have taken all necessary steps to ensure that any staffing concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

We want to say thank you all for your continued patience and support through this past week.

We ask for continued prayers as we move forward.
