We had a blast investigating seeds today in 4K! 🌱 We’ve spent the last few weeks learning about life cycles of various living things. We witnessed the monarch lifecycle first hand, raising and releasing 15 beautiful butterflies. We studied the life cycle of apples and the kids helped make applesauce and we graphed our favorite apple after taste testing 3 types. We learned about the life cycle of mushrooms first hand on our guided hike on the Ice Age Trail. In a couple weeks, we’ll visit the pumpkin farm and remember the life cycle of pumpkins. Today we were able to touch and manipulate the seeds from 20 different plants. The fan favorite was was spreading milkweed seeds, hopefully growing food for future monarch caterpillars! This is learning as it should be- hands on, outdoors, making connections and experiencing the joy of discovery!
