Families, we want to hear from you!

A group of community members is exploring whether Douglas County needs a tuition-free public charter middle school centered around the arts.

Odyssey School for the Creative Arts would serve students in grades 6–8, providing instruction in all Georgia academic standards along with daily study in music, dance, drama, visual art, technical design, or chorus. The vision is to help students experience academics in creative, hands-on ways, like learning geometry while designing and building a set.

A few important things to know:
Tuition-free public school
No audition required
No previous arts experience needed
Open to all middle-grade students in Douglas County
Governed by its own nonprofit board

At this time, the school is only proposed and has not been approved. Before the planning team moves forward, they want to hear what Douglas County families and community members truly think.

You do not have to be a parent to participate. All opinions, questions, and ideas are welcome!

It was a joy to see our AIP families at Open House tonight! Thank you for spending the evening with us, meeting your teachers, and getting ready for an amazing school year.
