Still searching for a battery percussion instructor for Fall 2019 and possibly Spring 2020 for DCHS.
Douglas County High School is a competitive corps style program located on Douglasville, Ga. Candidates will work as part of a staff consisting of myself, an assistant director, front ensemble tech, and Guard Instructor. Pay is very competitive for the Metro area.
(Requirements: Efficient. Punctual. Able to write. Traditional or Corps experience, either is good, both is better. Ability to write cadences that make me make the ugly face as I groove a plus)
PREVIEW SHOW: The Douglas County High School Marching Tiger Band will present a preview of our Fall Production entitled "Big Brother Is Watching” tonight at 630 pm on the practice field.
Consider this a trailer for the season.

The 2018 edition of the DC Diva Colorguard hard at work.... while everyone else waits for July.
The reason we succeed: While everyone else is waiting for July to make things happen, we work!!!
Now that I’ve had the first 8 hour night of sleep that I’ve gotten in a while:
Yesterday, the DCHS Tiger Band was fitted for their new uniforms. When I became the director at DC, one of the biggest things the outgoing band director told me was “this band will need new uniforms in three years”.
The reason yesterday is such a huge deal is because my booster program is paying for our uniforms, 100%. Yesterday required a huge deposit, and the parents in the booster organization have made it happen. Every band director knows how important a strong booster program is, and Douglas County has a history of strong and active parents.
A huge thanks goes out to West Metro Church, J&S Roofing, Marcos Pizza of Douglasville, Carrabba’s of Douglasville, and a number of individual donors. Another thank you to the DC Tiger Band Booster executive board: Debbie Chandler Stone, Tamara Almonacy Attis Monica Morales, Pixie Hitt, and Jeannie McDougal. You guys’ hard work and contributions are greatly appreciated!
I look forward to debuting our new Marching Tiger Band Uniforms in October.
