Tomorrow they’ll be a little bit older.
So today?
Let them be little.
Let them splash in the tub.
Let them beg for one more story.
Let them snuggle a minute longer.
Let them ask big questions and feel even bigger feelings.
Let them mispronounce words.
Let them wear their shoes on the wrong feet.
Let them dance. Let them wonder. Let them play.
The littleness doesn’t leave all at once, you know. It slips away in ordinary moments…so quietly you hardly notice.
So take a breath. Soak in your precious babies exactly as they are today.
