Ultimate Cell Hunt 🧬🏫

Mrs. Butts’ science classes took over our commons area for a cell scavenger hunt today. At each stop, they matched cell organelles to the people and places that keep our school running—like comparing the nucleus to the main office. Just like a school needs a great team to function, a cell needs all its organelles working together!

Cell Organelle Speed Dating! 🧬
Mrs. Clenney’s 7th Grade Life Science classes had a blast with Cell Organelle Speed Dating yesterday—complete with punch and cookies! 🍪🥤 Students were each assigned an organelle to become an “expert” on and share with their classmates. Each time the bell rang, they rotated to a new “date,” learning about another organelle while completing their graphic organizer.

Whiteboard Warriors: Team Up & Track Mistakes ✔️ Today in Mrs. Powell’s 7th grade math class students paired up to solve problems, compare their answers, and help each other fix mistakes. By swapping partners throughout the activity, students collaborated with different peers and explored a variety of problem-solving methods.

Engaging Mathematics at CMS - Integer Square Up: Students in Mrs. Hoff’s 7th grade math classes put together an integer addition and subtraction puzzle in their collaborative groups. They used their integer rules to match the problems with the answers to create a 4x4 square puzzle.
