🎉💙 That’s a wrap on Georgia Pre-K Week! 💙🎉
What a FUN and memorable week we have had celebrating our amazing Pre-K students and everything that makes Pre-K so special! 🥰
Georgia Pre-K Week is about so much more than dress-up days and fun activities. It is a time to celebrate the importance of early childhood education, recognize the incredible people who make it possible, and remind our communities just how valuable Georgia’s Pre-K Program truly is! 📚✏️🎨
Did you know that Georgia’s Pre-K is a FREE, state-funded program supported by the Georgia Lottery? 🎟️💙 This incredible opportunity allows eligible four-year-olds across our state to experience quality early childhood education, regardless of their family’s income. It gives our youngest learners the chance to build a strong foundation before entering kindergarten!
And that is something worth celebrating! 🎉
Throughout the week, our students enjoyed special dress-up days, guest readers, music, hands-on activities, and of course, our Pre-K Parade & Picnic to wrap up the celebration! 🥁🎺🪇🧺
We also want to give a HUGE thank-you to our wonderful community! ❤️ From our special guest readers to the families and community members who support our classrooms, you help make these experiences possible. When our community invests its time, encouragement, and support into our youngest learners, it reminds them that their education matters and that they have a whole community cheering them on!
But we couldn’t wrap up this week without recognizing the HEART of our Pre-K program — our amazing teachers and staff! 🍎❤️
Pre-K teachers do SO much more than teach letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. They wipe tears, celebrate little victories, build confidence, encourage friendships, teach independence, and help little hearts fall in love with learning. For many children, these teachers are their very first introduction to school, and the love and patience they show help shape how those children feel about education for years to come.
To our Pre-K teachers and staff: THANK YOU! Thank you for the countless hours, the creativity, the patience, the hugs, and the love you pour into these children every single day. Your work matters more than words can express, and the difference you make doesn’t end when these children leave your classrooms. 💕
We are incredibly blessed to have a public Pre-K program that gives our children such a wonderful beginning, dedicated educators who make every day meaningful, and a community that believes in the importance of early learning.
Because when we invest in our littlest learners, we are investing in the future of our entire community. 💙
