It was a wonderful evening celebrating student success at the University System of Georgia Foundation’s 2026 Board of Regents Scholarship and Awards Gala.

Drs. Greg and Lydia Tanner, Taylor and Deborah Hereford, and SGSC student and Hawks basketball team member d'Cyple Cataldo proudly represented South Georgia State College and our community at this special event.

The evening served as a meaningful reminder of the impact made when we invest in students and their futures. SGSC is grateful for the continued support of the USG Foundation, the South Georgia State College Foundation, and the James M. Dye Foundation, whose generosity helps open doors and create opportunities for students to pursue their college education and reach their goals.

The event was held at the Georgia Aquarium.

Decided to try something new for a future Hawks Media Day setup, and we think it worked!

A big thank you to Josey with SGSC Rodeo for the idea and help, and to Hawks baseball players Nate and Danny for being good sports and letting us test it out with a few photos.
