🎓 *Seniors & Parents — Join Us for FAFSA Night!*
We invite all seniors and their parents to attend FAFSA Night to get help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

*When*:Next Thursday October 30, 2025 @ 5:00pm
*Where*: Mrs. Elmer’s Classroom

*Why apply for FAFSA?*
• It helps students qualify for college grants, scholarships, and work-study (money you don’t have to pay back!)
• Some schools require a completed FAFSA before offering financial aid packages.
• Every student should apply — there are no income limits!

*Important:*
Parents play a big part in the application because their financial information is usually required.
Students can skip this step only if they are under a court-ordered legal guardianship or are identified as McKinney-Vento (homeless or in foster care).

*What to bring:*
• Student and parent Social Security numbers
• 2024 tax returns (or W-2 forms if not filed yet)
• FSA ID (Only if student or/parent have already created one)

Les hacemos la cordial invitación a nuestros futuros graduados y a sus padres a asistir a la Noche de FAFSA para recibir ayuda con la solicitud gratuita de ayuda federal para estudiantes (FAFSA).

*Cuándo*:Jueves, 30 de octubre de 2025 a las 5:00 p.m.
*Dónde*: Salón de Mrs. Elmer

*¿Por qué solicitar FAFSA?*
• Ayuda a los estudiantes a calificar para becas y trabajos diseñados para estudiantes de colegio/universidad (¡dinero que no hay que devolver!)
• Algunos colegios/universidades requieren la aplicación de FAFSA completa antes de ofrecer paquetes de ayuda financiera.
• Todos los estudiantes deberían aplicar — ¡no hay límites de ingresos!

*Importante:*
Los padres juegan un papel importante en la aplicación porque generalmente se requiere su información financiera.
Los estudiantes pueden omitir este paso únicamente si están bajo tutela legal ordenada por la corte o si están identificados como McKinney-Vento (estudiantes sin hogar o en cuidado de crianza).

*Qué traer:*
• Números de Seguro Social del estudiante y del padre/tutor
