Converse County 4-H

County Fair entries are due via ShoWorks by 11 p.m. this Thursday, June 18th. No late entries will be accepted; if you do not get entered, you will not be able to exhibit.

A list of exhibitors entered as of 10:30 a.m. on June 16th was emailed out. If your name is not on this list and you are planning to exhibit an animal or static exhibit at county fair, you need to get entered by Thursday.

If you did not receive a confirmation email from ShoWorks for your entries, the submission may not have gone through and you will need to log back in and complete your entries. Our office does not have the ability to check entries until after they close. Please reach out to the Converse County Fair Board if you need to check your entries.

As you work on your county fair entries (due June 18th), don't forget about the Converse County 4-H and Converse County Fair Member Showcase Sale!
The Member Showcase Sale gives 4-H and FFA members the opportunity to sell a quality static exhibit. The consigned items are sold via silent auction during county fair week. If you are interested in selling a static exhibit through the Showcase Sale, please review the Terms of Sale and submit the consignment form by July 1st. Printed copies of the terms and consignment form can be picked up at the Extension Office.

State Shoot registrations close on Monday, June 15th! Please complete your online registration and submit payment to the Extension Office by then!

Youth Quality Assurance is due in just under a month! If your name is on this list, you are signed up for a market animal project and need to complete YQCA this year. Reminder: Registration for Archery County Shoot closes on Friday, June 5th!

A quick reminder that livestock ownership forms for all breeding animals, market poultry, and market rabbits are due to the Extension Office by June 1st, per page 4 of the Converse County Fair Book (also included in the January-May monthly newsletters under 2026 Fair Book Changes). Forms can be accessed at https://www.conversecountyfair.com/links.html

If you did not bring proof of ownership to market tagging for your sheep, goat, or swine project, that is also due by June 1st. I have a list of people that I am still waiting to receive this from!
