😂🍎 If my teacher wasn’t a teacher… what would they be?!

We asked some of our DPS students that very question, and their answers did NOT disappoint! ❤️🐾

From some pretty thoughtful ideas to answers that made us laugh out loud, our students definitely have some creative career plans for their teachers! 😂

Check out the video to see what they had to say!

We sure are glad our amazing teachers chose teaching — DPS wouldn’t be the same without them! ❤️💙

🩺👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ Paging all 1st Grade Doctors! 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🩺

Our 1st grade students had the opportunity to become doctors for the day as part of an exciting learning experience connected to their current reading unit!

Throughout the day, our young doctors participated in hands-on activities that brought their learning to life, helped build background knowledge, strengthened vocabulary, and gave them the chance to apply what they have been learning in a fun and meaningful way.

There were plenty of smiles, lots of learning, and some pretty impressive future doctors walking the halls of DPS! ❤️💙

A HUGE Bearpaws shout-out to Memorial Hospital of Converse County for their incredibly generous donation of PPE for our students! Their support helped make the experience feel even more authentic and allowed our doctors to fully step into their roles for the day. We are so thankful for community partners who help make learning experiences like this possible! 🐾🩺

We love seeing learning come to life at DPS! 📚❤️💙

🚧 Road Work Reminder for Wednesday 🚧

DPS families, the City of Douglas will complete road slurry work on Wednesday, September 23rd, which may affect access to our Logsdon Lane drop-off and pick-up loop, especially around Sonora Avenue and Irwin Street.

Please plan for possible delays or adjusted traffic patterns when dropping off and picking up your child that day. Allowing yourself a little extra time will help keep things running as smoothly and safely as possible.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as the City completes this work! 🐾
