Bridlewood Chapter Chats A fun, educational kids' book club hosted by retired BES teachers, Mrs. Waldroup and Mrs. Sauer

Chapter Chats is a fun book club for kids hosted by Bridlewood teachers: Mrs. We will have meaningful discussions, engaging, engineering-focused activities, and lots of fun in a relaxed home environment. Summer sessions are offered for future 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th/5th grade students. Two-week sessions are $50. These sessions are 1 1/2 hours long on two different days for 2nd-5th. Sessions are $25

Off-season sessions have different times and costs than the regular summer events. We will meet in Mrs. Waldroup's house. The address is 200 Lake Trail Dr. in Double Oak. Drop off is at the front, circular drive.

Today it was all about brain teasers for our fantastic fifth graders, and they definitely put their problem-solving skills to the test! We tackled some tricky puzzles that challenged us to think outside the box. While we didn’t solve every single one, we learned that perseverance, teamwork, and creative thinking are just as important as finding the right answer. Most importantly, we had a lot of fun stretching our brains. 🧠

Today our terrific third graders explored the fascinating world of palindromes in word and number forms! We brainstormed palindrome dates, got creative by turning our own names into palindromes, and stretched our thinking with a variety of fun brain teasers and palindrome puzzles. It was a fantastic day of building critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and having lots of fun while exercising our brains!

Today our super second graders learned all about probability and how to predict whether events were certain, likely, unlikely, or impossible! We played several fun probability games and discovered that things don't always turn out the way we expect. It was a great way to practice making predictions while learning that chance can surprise us. Awesome job today, second graders!

Today our fabulous first graders learned all about the magic number 10 as we kicked off the new school year! We practiced making different combinations of 10 and explored all the ways to build this important number. Then, we played several fun, hands-on games to strengthen our new skills.
