WANS at Wallace Community College

What a great way to serve our tristate senior citizens! Both ADN and PN nursing students and faculty participated in setting up and working Dothan’s annual Older Americans Day (OAMD) hosted by SARCOA Area Agency on Aging! We honored and served hundreds of our amazing seniors citizens. What an awesome event and we can’t thank SARCOA enough for the opportunity to give back to our community!

WANS had a great turn out to help with the the American Kidney Foundation (AKF) annual walk.

WEATHER UPDATE FOR 3/16/26: Due to the potential for inclement weather conditions, both campuses of Wallace Community College will delay opening until 9:00 AM on Monday, March 16.

Thank you SARCOA Area Agency on Aging for inviting WANS to assist and enjoy the young at heart dancing the night away!

WANS participated in the Point in Time - Homeless Connect with the Dothan Housing Authority organization. The purpose of this event is to assist those who do not have proper housing. Wellness checks, education, food, clothing, and personal products were distributed to those who are less fortunate. It was truly a humbling experience and we got to meet some amazing people who were grateful for these services.
