Juneteenth marks the day the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865. On this federal holiday, we pause to reflect on the significance of this moment in history and celebrate the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that enrich the ACOM community. Happy Juneteenth!

Several ACOM students, alongside Dermatology Specialists' Jeffrey Stricker, DO, recently climbed aboard The Skin Cancer Foundation's Destination Healthy Skin bus to provide free full-body skin cancer screenings for the public. This collaboration provided students interested in dermatology with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping expand access to preventive skin health services!

We are incredibly grateful to the Southeast Health Foundation, Jim Whaley Tires, sponsors, volunteers, and golfers for making this event a success! The $108,855 raised for ACOM scholarships will go directly towards supporting future physicians as they pursue their medical education and careers in service. Your support is making a lasting difference in the lives of our students and the patients they will one day serve!💙
