The Carver School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology

Third grade is learning 4 square this week in PE! We also have 5th grade helpers guiding students with their techniques and rules of the game. It’s been a lot of fun!

Students were rewarded with a book token for exhibiting “The Carver Way”. Way to go!!

A little PE nostalgia in PE on Friday! 🌈❤️

Our students had a blast with the parachute, bringing back a childhood favorite that so many of us remember from our own PE days! The students played sharks and lifeguards 🦈, ostriches in the sand, and other imaginary adventures. Some things are just as fun as we remember. 🥹

Who else remembers parachute day being the BEST day in PE?! 🙋‍♀️

Our lunchroom will start selling snacks on Monday, Aug 17th, and they will be sold everyday during their lunch period. Slushie sales will start Tuesday, Aug. 18th. Slushies will be sold on Tuesdays for 5th and 3rd grades and Thursdays for 6th and 4th grades during their lunch period.

iReady Testing takes place Monday - Thursday next week! Please encourage your students to take their time and do their best!

We will begin testing promptly at 8:00 am each morning, be sure to be on time!

A sweet surprise to wrap up our first week! 💙🍎 Our instructional coaches, Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Ballard, treated our teachers to a snack cart this afternoon to celebrate an amazing first week of school. Thank you both for helping make our staff feel so appreciated!

Training for the ANA at Central Office yesterday was very impactful! Our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Griffith, and our Math Coach, Mrs. Nelson, were in attendance and learned a lot to bring back to our school!

Last but most certainly not least!! We are so excited for a new year at Carver MST. Our first day today was incredible!
