In art today, Mrs. Rach read “White Rabbit’s Color Book” which taught the students about Primary Color Mixing to create secondary colors. After the story, Mrs. Rach had a little magic up her sleeve and demonstrated with food coloring how these colors mix to form new colors!! 🎨🖌️🖼️❤️

Math centers in kindergarten are rolling the first full week of school!

Mrs. Hunt’s class read “Our Class is a Family” and took family photos Friday. 📸 The students got to pick a place to write about themselves and what makes them unique.

Teachers and students jumped right into learning today! Miss Watford’s first graders are getting to know one another through song and “temperature checks” while Mrs. Burns, our Turnaround Specialist, taught a reading lesson in Mrs. Schabacker’s kindergarten class. Ms. Catron’s 5th grade math class played detective to solve math riddles and complete stations as a review. So much happens in ONE day! GES students are moving along with DCS as one pack with one purpose!

There were big smiles this morning as our students arrived for their first day 😀 The school year is off to a great start!
