🎣 2nd Annual Captain’s Cup Tournament 🎣

Who’s ready for a fun day on the water with a little friendly competition mixed in?

The Captain’s Cup is a chance for our anglers and boat captains to fish together as a team and enjoy the other side of tournament day. Whether it’s an angler fishing alongside the captain who has spent the season behind the wheel, or a team ready to see who really has the best fishing stories, this tournament is all about making memories, having fun, and competing together!

This is what support looks like. 💙🎣

The first picture shows where we started last weekend, an empty spectator area waiting for tournament day to get started. The next shows what happens when our anglers, families, coaches, friends, and community show up. Overflowing with people who come to support these young anglers!

We want to give a very special THANK YOU to our host teams, Baldwin County High Fishing Team and Satsuma High School Fishing Team.

From setup before the tournament, to helping us throughout the day, and staying through breakdown when it was all over, we couldn't do this without all of you. So much happens behind the scenes to make a tournament possible, and we are incredibly thankful for the people who step up and help make it happen.

We also want to thank the City of Bay Minette for their continued support of the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail and for welcoming our anglers, coaches, families, and friends into your community.

And to everyone who filled that spectator area, Thank You! Seeing this kind of support surrounding these anglers is what makes days like this so special.

These tournaments are about so much more than fishing!! They are about community, family, and showing these young people that what they are doing matters!!

🏆 AOY & TEAM OF THE YEAR STANDINGS 🏆

The first two tournaments of the season are officially in the books, and the battles have already begun for those top spots! 🎣

We’re excited to share the current Angler of the Year and Team of the Year standings after our first two stops.

There is still plenty of fishing ahead, and we know these standings can change quickly as the season continues. We are so proud of the hard work, determination, and sportsmanship each angler and team has already shown on the water.

Congratulations to everyone currently sitting near the top, and best of luck to every angler and team as we head into the rest of the season!

What a day at the Tensaw Delta! 🎣

Join us in congratulating our Top 3 High School teams, Top 3 Junior teams, and our Big Fish winners from Stop #2 of the season!

We are so incredibly proud of every angler who came out and competed. Watching these anglers represent their schools and clubs, support one another, and do what they love is exactly why we do what we do.

To our anglers, boat captains, coaches, parents, grandparents, family members, and friends, Thank You. We know tournament weekends take time, travel, early mornings, long days, and a whole lot of support behind the scenes. We never take that for granted.

Our fishing families are such a special part of the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you.

Two tournaments are already in the books, and this season is just getting started! We cannot wait to see what the next few months bring and watch these anglers continue to grow, compete, and make memories on the water.
