✨ When Magic Breaks the Walls We Build ✨

Magic does not always arrive as soft light or gentle blessing.
Often, it comes as storm, as rupture, as the shattering of forms we clung to.

We ask the unseen for transformation - and it answers. Not by decorating the cage we’ve been living in, but by breaking its bars. Not by polishing the illusions we’ve built around ourselves, but by dissolving them until only truth remains.

It can feel cruel, this unraveling. It can feel like loss, like chaos, like betrayal. But look closer: this is not punishment. This is initiation.

For the current of magic cares nothing for our comfort, but everything for our becoming. It dismantles what cannot hold the power we’ve invoked. It makes room. It clears ground. It demands that the new shape of our lives be strong enough to contain what we’ve summoned.

I know this because it happened to me. After our home festival Moondance earlier this past May, where Sean and I had been focusing on calling in the life of our dreams, I came home ready to settle back into the “normal” rhythm of work. Except; I couldn’t. Try as I might, no matter how much logic or willpower I threw at myself, I simply could not clock in to my corporate job. It was like something beyond me had seized the reins. Submitting my resignation felt less like a decision and more like going through the motions of a script that was already written. Within hours I was feverishly sketching the bones of what would become Nectar & Nightshade, and laying the groundwork for the blended metaphysical shop and gourmet candy store Sean and I had daydreamed about since the very beginning of our relationship.

So when the storm comes, do not despair.
Do not mistake the breaking for the absence of blessing.
This is magic at its most faithful: carrying you beyond the boundaries of what you thought was possible, into the wide horizon of what is waiting to be born.

And if you find yourself suddenly incapable of doing the old thing, and instead feverishly compelled to birth the new? Well, don’t panic. That’s just magic saying:
