A Big Thank You to Our NMA Alumni!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to NMA alumni Hatcher Potter, Grant Horne, and Bobby Steensma for taking the time to speak with some of our seniors today!

Their insights on what college life is truly like were invaluable. They shared practical advice on setting realistic college expectations, navigating schedules, building relationships with professors, and creating strong study habits. They also touched on important aspects of college life, including housing and social life, helping our students feel more prepared for this exciting next chapter.

We’re so grateful for their willingness to give back and inspire our students!

Homecoming 2024 is coming! We have a week filled of fun dress up days to show school spirit and be ready for our homecoming game! Put these dates on your calendar!

10/24 - Family BONFIRE / PEP RALLY (Softball Field)
4pm - NMA Armory open - get your spirit wear
6-6:30pm - FOOD...Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Pork Nachos, Popcorn, Chips, Drinks, Cotton Candy, Snow Cones
6:45 - Lighting of the Bonfire

Bring your Lawn Chairs and get ready for a fun night! Football teams and Cheerleaders will be recognized and our NMA band will be playing!

10/25 - HOCO PARADE / PEP RALLY
9am - HOCO Parade
11am - Pep Rally
7pm - HOCO Game

Congratulations to Dr. Callie Gilbert-Hyma
(NMA 2015)

Dr. Blackmon and staff ask that you please join us in welcoming our newest dentist, Dr. Gilbert-Hyma, to our practice! We are so happy to have her in Dothan and add her to our team!

"Hello! My name is Callie, and I was born and raised in Dothan. I went to Auburn University for undergraduate studies and completed my bachelors in Biomedical Science with a minor in Studio Art. I moved to Atlanta after undergrad and met my husband, Ethan, while I was working as a photographer and applying to dental school. My next stop was Salt Lake City, UT where I attended Roseman University of Health Sciences. After 4 amazing years of dental school, I graduated with my DMD, and we have recently moved back to the Wiregrass area! I am so excited to come back to my roots, be close to family, and help improve the oral health of my community! My grandad (Bob Borland) was the first oral surgeon in Dothan, so I am excited to come back and work in his original office while fulfilling his legacy in the dental field!"

Graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Psychology and will be beginning graduate school to pursue his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Jack Anderson
Class of 2020
Graduated cm laude from Troy University with a major in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Sports Information.
He has one more year of eligibility due to an injury so he will work towards a masters in Strategic Communications while high jumping for an additional year.

Evan Johnson (NMA 2020) earned his BS in Business Administration on May 5th from Auburn University.
He has accepted a position in Charlotte, NC with a company specializing in logistics.
