Happy National Principals Month!

October is National Principals Month, and we are taking a moment to honor the incredible, dedicated leaders who keep Houston County Schools moving forward every single day!
Leading a school takes vision, unwavering support, and true teamwork. School life comes with plenty of "noise"—from trending distractions and endless schedule changes to the daily hustle of student life. But when the waters get choppy, our school leaders don't flinch. They grab an oar, tune out the noise, lock in the rhythm, and stay focused on what matters most: our students, staff, and community.
We’re celebrating the steady hands at the helm of our schools. They are the strategists, the cheerleaders, the problem-solvers, and the calm in every storm.

A big thank you to Marc McLendon for hosting the 16th Annual Marching Festival! We had bands from all around the area, and every band from Houston County did a fantastic job.
Thank you as well to all the parents who put in so much time and hard work to make the festival a success. We appreciate you!
