📢 Weekly Learning Pathway Requirements! 📢

We are coming up on the end of Week 1, and it is time to make sure all of our students are hitting their weekly learning goals!

Here is a quick breakdown of the weekly requirements for our grade levels:

⏱️ The Goal: 30 minutes in Math + 30 minutes in ELA/Reading each week.

💻 By Grade Level:
• 7th & 8th Graders: Log your 30 minutes per subject area on your iReady Pathway Practice.
• 9th - 12th Graders: Log your 30 minutes per subject area on your IXL pathway.

📚 EVERY MINUTE COUNTS. EVERY WEEK!

Starting the week of August 17th, all DCVS students are expected to complete 60 minutes of individual pathway practice each week:

• 30 minutes of ELA
• 30 minutes of Math

7th–8th grade: i-Ready
9th–12th grade: IXL

This requirement applies to all students, including those taking Dual Enrollment or ACCESS ELA/Math, as well as those who do not currently have an ELA or Math class.

Teachers and administrators will monitor progress each week and reach out if you need support. Small steps each week can lead to BIG growth!

Today is the final day to turn in your application for the Superintendent's Supervisory Council. Completed applications must be turned in to the front office by 9 am.

SSAC Applications are NOW OPEN! 🐺📣 Dothan City Schools students in grades 7–12 are invited to apply for the 2026–2027 Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council!

In partnership with Fearless Leadership Academy, selected students will take part in a year-long leadership development experience while having the opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback, and have a voice in the future of Dothan City Schools.

Interested 7-12 grade students can visit Dothan.K12.AL.US, select ‘Our District’, then ‘Superintendent”, then select ‘Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC)’ to learn more and download the application packet.
