Reading, Writing, Math & Science all in one lesson!

Inspired by the book, "How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin?", Mrs. Mashura and her 2nd grade students turned math into a hands-on adventure! Students made observations and predicted how many seeds were in each pumpkin. After scooping them out (and getting a little messy!), they counted, recorded data and drew conclusions

Our students loved learning about International Dot Day last week during art clsss. The day is inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book “The Dot”, about a teacher who encourages a student to trust in her abilities and make her mark. Art teacher, Mrs. Henault taught everyone about creativity, courage and collaboration! 🎨

We teamed up with NJ4H- New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services this year and held our first two assemblies TODAY! Students in grades 1-8 explored healthy relationships, empathy, and how to be a good friend! The enthusiasm and engagement from all our students made it a morning full of valuable lessons and fun!
