We were honored to welcome administrators from Riverstone High School to campus today. We enjoyed sharing our programs and giving them a firsthand look at the hands-on learning opportunities available to students at DCCTC.

Students in our Law Enforcement class attempted their first Physical Agility Test (PAT) last week. The DCCTC PAT follows the standards set by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, with nine tasks that must be completed in 2 minutes and 6 seconds to pass. We are certain our students will continue to improve throughout the semester!

Welcome back to DCCTC, Patrol Deputy Harold Robinson! A former student in Mr. McClellan’s Law Enforcement class, Deputy Robinson now serves with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office. Cathy Baker, Receptionist

Mrs. Baker joins the Dorchester County Career & Technology Center as the school's new receptionist, bringing many years of administrative experience to the front office. Most recently, she served for seven years as the Front Office Manager at Colleton Medical Center Outpatient Rehabilitation, where she enjoyed helping patients and ensuring the busy office ran smoothly.

A St. George native, Cathy is excited to begin this new chapter in her career and looks forward to meeting and assisting the students, families, staff, and visitors who come through the doors each day. As a true people person, she enjoys building relationships and making others feel welcome.

When she's not at work, Cathy loves spending time outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, she treasures time with her family, especially her sweet 2-year-old granddaughter, who keeps her smiling and brings her endless joy.
