Our goal is to achieve sustainable development through the following programs:

Literacy: Teaches adults to read, write and perform basic mathematics

Basic Education: Offers a curriculum equivalent to sixth grade. Preschool: Offers a curriculum for three to six year old children. Food & Nutrition: Provides information about nutrition as well as sustainable techniques to grow and prepare foods. He

alth and Disease Prevention: Targets what the UN and other international organizations consider to be the leading global health crises, such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Community Development: Targets issues such as empowerment of women, prisoner education and economic development. Micro-Credit: To give financial independence by teaching participants to save money and obtain loans to start home-based businesses. Protecting Our Environment: Offers a step by step guide to keeping a planet safe, healthy and green. The programs listed above take place in churches, homes, community centers, schools, prisons, clinics. Basically any building that the community members are able to use for free. Our approach focuses on the only sustainable solution rather than the immediate fix.

One woman began her journey as a student, unable to read or write. She never imagined that God was preparing her to become a teacher, impacting the lives of others through the same gift she received.

Look at these smiles. These aren’t just happy faces. These are the smiles of children whose lives are being transformed through education.

They smile because they have hope. They smile because they get to go to school. For millions of children growing up in poverty, an education is not guaranteed. Many will never learn to read or write unless someone chooses to help. Imagine your own life if you had never learned to read.

Imagine not being able to read a road sign, a doctor’s instructions, a job application, or even a letter from someone you love. Would your life have been different? Would the opportunities you’ve had even exist?

Literacy is something many of us take for granted, yet it is the foundation of opportunity, dignity, and freedom. Education breaks the cycle of poverty and gives children the chance to dream beyond the circumstances they were born into. Every one of us has been given opportunities that helped shape our future. Those blessings didn’t happen by accident. By the grace of God, we have received so much. Now we have the opportunity to become part of someone else’s story.

Poverty and illiteracy often form a vicious cycle. When someone cannot read or write, opportunities become limited, making it harder to break free from poverty. But together, we can change that.

At Alfalit International, our basic education programs are helping break that cycle—one student, one family, one community at a time. Every lesson learned is a step toward dignity, opportunity, and hope.

We believe that everyone, no matter where they live or what circumstances they face, deserves the chance to learn to read and write. No one should ever be excluded from the gift of education.

As Christians, we know that every person is created in the image of God. We are all God’s children, loved equally, with unique gifts and a God-given purpose. Every child, every woman, and every man deserves the opportunity to build a future filled with hope.

Every day, somewhere in the world, Alfalit International is giving a child a priceless gift—the gift of an education.

But the impact doesn’t stop in the classroom.

Every day, Alfalit’s dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, and friends faithfully lift these children up in prayer. We believe that education transforms lives, but we also know that prayer invites God’s presence, protection, wisdom, and strength into each child’s journey.

When we pray, we open the door for God’s divine support. Our prayers intercede on behalf of these precious children, asking Him to guide their steps, protect their futures, and remind them that they are deeply loved. Scripture encourages us to cover our children in prayer, helping us stay connected to God’s heart for them.

EDUCATION IS FREEDOM 🇺🇸

Education plays a pivotal role in ensuring our freedom and opportunities. It empowers individuals by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions and pursue their dreams.

Literacy, the ability to read and write, is fundamental in opening doors to a better future. It enables people to participate fully in society, exercise their rights, and contribute meaningfully to their communities and country.

On this July 4th, we celebrate the principles of freedom and independence, it’s a time to reflect on the importance of education as a passport to greater opportunities and liberties. Alfalit International literacy and education programs, are contributing to a more inclusive and empowered society.

Look into her eyes and see the wonder-the sacred wonder of a child. She dreams the kind of dreams only innocence can hold - big, beautiful, hope-filled dreams.

Through your prayers, your kindness, and your generosity, those dreams can begin to unfold into reality, day by day. One child at a time, one precious life at a time, we can help rescue a child from a lifetime of poverty and open the door to hope, purpose, and a brighter future.
