Congratulations to Anna Kate Smith and Crimson Erwin on being recognized by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as Class 5A All-State selections!

⭐ Crimson Erwin — Second Team All-State

These honors are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and leadership they brought to our program all season long. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Corner Softball on and off the field.

Season Comes To An End For The Jackets 🖤💛

The Corner Varsity Yellow Jackets battled until the very end but fell to Springville 10-8 on Thursday, bringing the 2026 season to a close.

After trailing early, the Jackets fought their way back and tied the game late behind clutch plays from Layton Hurst and Crimson Erwin, showing the fight and resilience this team carried all season long.

While this one hurts, we could not be more proud of these girls.

This team battled through adversity, competed with heart, and represented Corner the right way every single time they stepped on the field. From huge wins to unforgettable moments, this group gave Jacket Nation so much to cheer for.

A special thank you to our seniors for everything they poured into this program. Your impact will not be forgotten, and you will always be a part of Corner Softball. 💛

The future is bright for this program, and we cannot wait to see what’s ahead.

Regional Recap 🖤💛

The Jackets split games on Day 1 of Regionals—dropping the opener to Northside before bouncing back in a BIG way with a 16-5 win over Lincoln to keep the season alive! 💪🔥

In game one, Calee Guin stayed hot at the plate with three hits, while Crimson Erwin and Anna Kate Smith each added RBIs. The Jackets battled until the final out and played a clean game defensively without committing an error.

The offense exploded in game two with 17 hits and an incredible 11-run fifth inning. Sydney Lackey led the way with three hits, while Crimson Erwin delivered a huge bases-clearing triple. Big contributions came all throughout the lineup as the Jackets answered with energy and fight.

This team keeps battling and refuses to quit. ❤️‍🔥

You won’t find much tougher than this 💛🖤

The Lady Jackets battled ALL. DAY. LONG. out of the losers bracket and refused to fold.

💥 16-0 over Center Point
💥 4-2 over Hayden
💥 11-10 WALK-OFF win over Springville to force the “what if”

That’s heart. That’s grit. That’s Corner softball.

They left it all on the field in the final and came up just short… but not before proving exactly who they are.

Jackets Battle Back 💛🖤

The Corner Varsity Yellow Jackets dropped a tough one to Hayden, 9-7, in the opening round of area play.

After falling behind early, the Jackets showed a ton of fight—putting together a huge 7-run inning to take the lead, highlighted by a big home run from Calee Guin.

They battled all the way to the end and never quit, but just couldn’t quite close it out late.
