Due to the forecast for incoming inclement weather, Donna ISD has canceled all student events for Wednesday, June 19th and Thursday, June 20th. There will be no Strength & Conditioning or sports-specific skills sessions at DHS.

STAAR EOC retesting has been postponed to Tuesday, June 25th and Wednesday, June 26th at WA TODD MS.

Class of 2024, you may continue to pick up student transcripts at DHS on July 15, 2024.

Congratulations to our seniors Ivan Garcia and Luis Conde who won the VAMOS Traditional Scholarship! Tonight they were honored at the VAMOS Scholarship Banquet.

Selected students attending the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley will receive $3,000 per year, for four years ($12,000 total). All other selected students attending other institutions will receive $5,000 per year, for four years ($20,000 total).

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the Open Mic event held at the Donna High School library this past Monday evening. We had teachers, administrators, and students come together for an incredible evening of expression. Students and staff played instruments, sang, wrote poems, and truly enjoyed this special night.

Yesterday Donna High School held its 6th Annual Golden Feather Ceremony, which has now become a tradition here at Donna High School. In this ceremony, Donna High School’s retirees are gifted 3 different items as part of tradition. They are gifted a Feather Scarf, which has a feather for each year they served at Donna High School. They are presented with a Key Chain Necklace that has trinkets that represent their impact as educators, and lastly, they are presented with a Golden Feather Headband as a symbol of their transition into the next chapter of their life. We wish nothing but the best for our two retirees Ms. Dalila Rivera, Parent Educator and Ms. Maricela Ramirez, Science Teacher. The Redskin Reservation will always be your home! ⛺️

Last week, Donna High School participated in Mental Health Awareness Week, where our LPC, CIS Liaison, and Campus Social Worker provided daily activities to promote our students’ well-being 🧠💚. We are also grateful for F&P Brands, owners of local DQs, Schlotzskys, and Cinnabon, for their generous donation in providing incentives for our participants 🎁🍦🥯. Thank you for supporting our students' mental health and well-being! 🙏
