🎬 Week 3 is underway, Seminoles! 🌟

Thank you to our Sauceda Middle School students, families, teachers, and staff for helping us start the 2026–2027 school year strong!

📚 Progress Reports are coming September 3! Now is a great time to check grades, celebrate successes, and make sure we stay focused as we finish out the first six weeks.

As we enter week three of the 2026–2027 school year, thank you to our Donna ISD parents, students, teachers, and staff for helping make the start of this year a strong one. The connection between home and school is an important part of each student’s success, and it truly takes all of us working together. With Progress Reports coming September 3, this is a great time to check in on grades, celebrate what is going well, and stay connected with teachers throughout the first six weeks.

🎬 Learning Comes to Life at Sauceda! 🌎🇲🇽

Our students explored Popular Culture, Mexican Culture, and Cultural Diffusion through a lesson that connected classroom learning to real-life experiences!

Students learned how food, traditions, music, language, and customs can spread from one culture to another—and of course, they enjoyed getting to experience some of the culture through food! 🌮😋

Shout out to Ms. Rachael Garcia 6th grade Social Studies! Great learning, great conversations, and plenty of smiles!

EVERY 8th Grader. EVERY Conversation. EVERY Opportunity.

Over the past few days, our CCMR and GEAR UP team has been working to meet with EVERY 8th grade student on campus!

Through conversations about GEAR UP, TFA Ignite, CCMR, high school preparation, and future opportunities, we are making sure our students know about the resources and support available to help them succeed.

Our goal is simple: open communication, stronger preparation, and making sure every student knows we are invested in their future. We are just getting started!

It all connects back to our district’s #1 Student Outcome ensuring our students graduate on time, prepared for COLLEGE, CAREER, or MILITARY! 🎓💼🇺🇸

Outstanding job by our 6th grade RLA team! Thank you Ms. Sandoval and Ms. Colunga for always going out of your way for our students!

Round of applause for Ms. Fabiola Sandoval, with support from Ms. Veronica Colunga, for bringing Goal 1 to life in 6th grade RLA at Sauceda S.T.E.A.M. Academy! Students prepared to dive into The Breadwinner by building the background knowledge needed for deeper comprehension. They Focused on Vocabulary, Activated Visuals through the use of realia, and Energized the Lesson as students explored plot elements with an emphasis on cultural setting. Through Aggressive Monitoring, student understanding was checked and support was provided along the way. Great job ladies! 🎯 DISD Sauceda Middle School

A huge shoutout to Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Cruz for an outstanding 8th Grade Math lesson! 👏
Students were actively engaged as our teachers broke the plane, checked for understanding throughout the lesson, and used student responses to keep learning moving forward.
