Who recognizes our former 3D Academy counselor?

Congratulations to Donna ISD's first Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class. All 15 participants, who made up the class, passed the state exam and were officially certified as Nurse Aides by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. With this certification, these individuals are now eligible to work at a hospital, doctor's office or any other health related business or organization.

Graduation dates are set for the Class of 2023. See flyer for details.

TEA just released the financial and accountability ratings and Donna ISD scored an A and a B. The district has shown exponential growth over the past few years!

A big congratulations goes out to Donna ISD's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) recipients. Five teachers from M. Rivas Primary Discovery Academy and three teachers from 3D Academy were greeted by the DISD TIA Award Patrol and presented with an oversized check acknowledging their financial reward for receiving "Recognized" status for their performance in the classroom last school year.

Rivas teachers receiving recognition were:
Criselda Mejia, Flor Ortega, Alma Zarama, Odette Rodriguez and Linda Aguilar

3D Academy teachers receiving recognition were:
Oscar Hernandez, Victor Chavez and Elyssha Enriquez

TIA is a program designed to create a path for highly effective teachers from approved TIA districts to receive additional funding on top of their annual salary. This will enable DISD to have a competitive edge over other districts in rewarding, retaining and recruiting exemplary teachers.
