📚 One week ago today, we celebrated our very first Literature Festival (LitFest), and we’re still so grateful for such a beautiful evening!

Thank you to all the families, students, and guests who made our first LitFest such a joyful event! Seeing our students share their favorite books, projects, costumes, snacks, and creativity was truly inspiring.

As Catholic homeschoolers, we believe literature helps lead us toward the good, the true, and the beautiful. Through stories and great books, our children encounter timeless truths and grow in their understanding of God, humanity, and the world around them. It was a gift to see that love of literature come alive through our students.

A special thank you to Fr. Derlis and Fr. Sebastian for your continued guidance and support of Catholic Homeschoolers of the Oratory. We are also grateful to St. Joseph Catholic Church Edinburg, Texas for hosting us.

Thank you as well to the generous publishers, authors, and sponsors who donated books and raffle prizes. Because of your generosity, every participating family went home with at least one wonderful book!

Thank you all for helping make LitFest such a memorable celebration of faith, fellowship, and literature. We are already looking forward to next year! 📖❤️

What better way to celebrate KRGV’s 🖐️☝️ 5/1 Day than welcoming Mr. Oscar Adame to speak to our students! We didn’t realize the significance of the date when we invited him, but the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

Mr. Adame, a retired news anchor with a 23-year career at KRGV Channel 5 News, visited our homeschool co-op today.

Our elementary, middle, and high school students had the opportunity to hear him share how his Catholic faith has shaped his life and career, along with valuable advice on public speaking as they prepare for our upcoming literature festival.

We sincerely appreciate him taking the time to invest in and encourage our students. 🙏
