🍁 Fall Spirit Week 🍁 Sports Day 🍁
Some of the positive attributes that sports have in children are physical health, teamwork/ social skills, self- esteem, and leadership.
Thank you to all the children who participated in our Sports Day. We love seeing the variety of sports and teams that our families are fans of.
🍁 Fall Spirit Week 🍁
This week children (and teachers!) are invited to participate in dressing up. Monday was Pajama Day, and we had lots of children come in their favorite PJs.
Classroom: Preschool
Activity: I Spy an Animal 🐷🐔🐮
Objective: Children will listen to clues to determine the object being described.
Teacher lined up different animals for children to observe. She then instructed them to listen to the clues she gave and for them to try to pick out the animal that matched her description.
Children love farm animals and are very familiar with them, therefore this activity allowed them to respond to more complex language.
⭐️Classroom: Toddlers
⭐️Teacher: Mrs. Maricruz
⭐️Activity: What can I build?
Children built towers and roads with blocks. Block play develops fine motor strength and coordination as children grasp and manipulate the blocks. Math skills developed include exploring size and shape of objects.
Fall Art Show 🍁🧡🍂
Thank you to each parent/ grandparent who joined us today! We enjoyed painting character pumpkins together, as well as seeing the display of children’s artwork.
We hope children remember this special time together. We know we will!
✏️ Classroom: Infant
✏️ Activity: Little Drummer Baby
✏️ Objective: Children explored loud and soft sounds.
This activity focuses on language development.
Teacher introduced the “drum” to children and explained they would be making music. She then modeled how to tap on it to make sounds in soft and loud ways. Some children needed guidance, while others understood the concept quickly. Children also connected socially with others as they observed, imitated, and took turns.

⭐️ Toddler classroom ⭐️
Activity: Finger Painting Fun
Objective: Children will “paint” using their hands and fingers. Finger painting provides children the opportunities to explore and learn through sensory play by feeling the coolness and squishy texture of the paint and seeing the effects of colors mixing together. It also promotes fine motor development as children use their hands to press and move paint around inside the bag and their fingers and wrists to “paint” pictures.
☀️Fun Friday / Toddler & Preschool classroom ☀️
Children enjoyed water play in splash pool and spinklers. Throughout the months of June & July teachers prepare special activities for children to enjoy every Friday. The main reason we do this because we want children to have fun during their summer vacation and experience a change in routine before we settle back into the school year. While setting up these activities is a lot of work and additional expenses, we know parents value that we go above and beyond for their children.

✏️ Activity: Sculpting Animals
✏️ Objective: Children express creativity in thinking and communication.
Children explored with play dough to create an animal while learning the words for different techniques. Teacher explained and modeled words such as roll, pinch, squeeze, pat, and cut while guiding children in their creation.
⭐️ Infant Classroom ⭐️
Activity: Stack and Nest
Objective: Children build flexible thinking skills as they play with stacking cups in different ways.
Stacking and nesting cups offer many ways to play and learn. For this activity teacher prepared a Hiding and Finding variation and worked with a small group. Children practiced problem solving as they were asked to find the item that was hidden under an overturned cup. This fun activity engaged the children and allowed for fine motor, social, and language skills to be practiced.
