We've got about 3 weeks before this trailer goes to a new home. The welding class is building the 10x6 foot trailer with a folding drop gate. Auto students will paint it and then wire the lights on. Then it will get turned over to construction students to put the bed in. Raffle tickets are being sold by students to help pay for their SkillsUSA dues. Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. Drawing is November 12th just in time for deer season.

Proud of these young men... made it to nationals on their first try, kept working, and showed off what they had on the highest level. Didn't make top 3, but that's okay. They were among the 2% of members that made it to Atlanta. May find out their placement tonight, more than likely it'll be next week. I know they're anxious to get back to a much quieter Ripley County tomorrow.

So the Commercial Drone (sUAS) consists of four parts.
1 - Flying skills 2 - Pilots knowledge of FAA regulations (FAA Part 107) 3 - Maintenance & Trouble Shooting 4 - Autonomous flying (mapping/surveying)
This is the flying portion from this afternoon, they are allowed 20 minutes and as you can see, they didn't need that much time. Braiden is the pilot and Zack communicates with him on positioning. There were 25 teams from across the country and we get results Friday afternoon!
