Seminole County Middle High School participated in a mass casualty drill this morning, bringing together multiple local agencies to create a powerful and realistic training experience. Representatives from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Donalsonville Fire Department, Survival Flight/EMS, Georgia State Patrol, Seminole County EMA, Donalsonville Police Department, Donalsonville Hospital, the Seminole County Coroner's Office, and Evans-Skipper Funeral Home all worked together to simulate an accident response, providing valuable hands-on training for first responders.

Our drama and choral students played an important role as victims in the scenario, helping make the experience as realistic as possible. Juniors and seniors observed the response and then gathered in the gym for a debrief led by SRO Jim Shingler, who spoke about the dangers of drinking and driving—an especially important message during prom week.

This collaboration gave our students a firsthand look at how emergency personnel respond in critical situations while reinforcing the importance of making safe, responsible choices. We are grateful to all of our community partners who made this meaningful experience possible.

She was the winner of the recent Farm Bureau Middle School Art Contest, and she was also selected as the District 9 overall winner, consisting of 12 counties in southwest Georgia.
