Where is your focus?

The hard truth is that you have more authority over where you set your attention than you may be giving yourself credit for.

If you focus on the belief that your kids are giving you a hard time you will show up in life dysregulated over and over again.

You will find yourself
Bone tired.
Checked out.
Reactive.
In a fog.
Generally negative.

Any of those sound familiar?

What can you do?

Change the belief.

Shift your focus.

The reality is your kiddo is having a hard time. They didn’t wake up thinking, “how can I obliterate my mom today.”

No, they are likely lacking a skillset needed to positively engage with the thing that set them off or frustrated you.

If you can focus on the belief that your kids are good and that their behavior is trying to tell you something…

You will stop taking things so personally.

You will have access to curiosity that allows you to access compassion.

The fabulous news is then you can access confident assertive action that really is rooted in love.

It’s an actual game changer.

🙌🏻I teach parents how to access deeply rooted calm so they can build safe, connected and resilient families.

When's the last time you gave up on yourself? If you are anything like myself it was yesterday, and the 3 weeks before that.

At this point it would be soo easy to continue to not prioritize my needs. The reality is I have been here so many times. I convince myself that it's too hard to start again, that if I go back to the gym now I will be emberssed for the times I haven't been showing up. This usually leads me to poor eating and several other unhealthy for Kristina rhythms.

Anyone else convince themselves of this?
Anyone else let those really good excuses stop you from picking back up the things you have built in to care for yourself?

Truth: On my own I am weak in this area, on my own I have failed many times, on my own I give up on myself.

Spoiler alert: this time is different. This time I have spent time finding my strength and identity in the Lord instead of myself. This time, I am no longer on my own. Because of Jesus I am rising again in his strength, I may be weak, but His strength has me showing back up for myself only 3 weeks later. This is what growth looks like for me!

Paul reminded me that Jesus's grace is sufficient for you and me, for His power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore we can boast all the more gladly about our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on us. That is why, for Christ’s sake, we can delight in weaknesses. For when I am weak, then I am strong 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

You may have given up things that you need to take care of yourself. What might it look like to pick something back up? What might it look like to look past those really good excuses and show back up for yourself?? Just a reminder: You are worth it friend.

Forever on your team~Kristina

Idk what it's like in your neck of the woods, but I love living in a place that on a regular year brings us four seasons.

Summer blesses us with natural vitamin d, warm weather and sunkissed skin. Fall brings leaves that change beautiful colors and jeans and cute boots. Winter brings a white Christmas and hot cocoa, and Spring; Spring brings life, things that looked dead in winter surprise us with there beautiful colors, wonderful smells, and new life.

As seasons change in the weather, so do seasons change in our lives. Our lives never look the same all our lives.

Idk about you but I am so thankful that when the struggle comes, it's not forever, that when I step onto something new, eventually it's not new anymore, and when I have learned a hard lesson I have the opportunity not to learn it again.

Life is ever changing and never stays the same, but what we can count on is God. He can be your rock if you let him, He never changes, His promises never change, He is a firm foundation.

As you and I spend time with Him you will change, you will grow and you will look so different to the world. His promise is to set you apart when you follow Him.

The amazing part, is when others notice. When others notice you have peace and joy in the hard things you are walking through. (God never promised an easy road where struggles never come) When others notice how you are kinder, have more self control, or the gentleness in which you have with people changes.

This is what a new life looks like, this is the kind of life that on its own speaks to those around you. This is the life of a follower of Jesus.

👉What has changed about you since saying Yes to Jesus?? What looks different?? Let us know in the comments below👇, and catch my answer there too!

I came across this sign today... Your Journey Matters.

It got me thinking, do you ever hear God say go, then you go and it's hard and everything in you wants to shrink back, curl up into a ball and not come back out??

This is something that I have really been challanged with lately.

Where does this come from? All I desire to do is run wild for the Lord, follow His voice whereever it takes me.

The reality is fear is not something only some people struggle with, some are not immune to fear, everyone is afraid of something.

Stepping into new things and/or new relationships can be hard, can be scary.

So what do we do?? Punch fear in the face and go?? Or do we shrink back and come out when it's safe??

Neither.

👉We work through the fear, so that, when we are faced with the next hard thing we keep going and it doesn't take us out.

Ask yourself:
👉 Is this fear real?
👉Is this fear likely to happen?
👉What will happen if this fear becomes reality?

Our brains need litteral evidence that we will not die and the only way to get that is to go brave. Stepping forward despite your fear.

God tells us 365 times in the Bible. "Do not be afraid", I beleive this isn't a command to not fear, but a comfort, that we don't have to be afraid because He is with us whereever we go. Even in the fires he calls us too.

One of my favorite songs puts it this way,

Every scar on my skin
Is a beautiful reminder
Of a moment when I didn't give in
And I walked through fire
'Cause in the dark there is a light
Your truth it keeps on burning bright
Makes me brave to fight the fight

So friend, where is your Journey taking you? Where might you be shrinking back on the fear?

Your friend, Kristina🩵🩵🩵

Hard seasons are for real.

I used to tell myself, punch fear in the face, push it down, as Christians we are to have Joy in the storm.

The problem, I never actually delt with the thoughts that threatened to unwind me, and during the next hard season, those same thoughts, those same fears, would take me out. Sound familiar?

There must be a better way? Fear, anxiety, worry, depression are for sure not fruits of the spirit, but over and over again, those are the chains I experienced and I watch so many others experience.

The reality is?? I was in bo***ge. The things I thought, that were not feed truth, affected how I felt, and how I felt affected how I would act, and how I would act affected the way I thought. I was stuck in the same cycle over and over again...

It wasn't until I really invest in myself, mind body and soul that I started to find a way out.
Moving my body to glorify the Lord, not to lose weight (mindset shift), spending intentional time with the Lord (not just my last peices) and invested in training my mind, and ultimately finding my identity and my value in the Kingdom. (Not just because the Bible tells me that's where I should, ought to get my identity from).

Let's be real, working on yourself is hard. It requires you to take a look at the pieces of you that are not the best, the peices that are hurt and broken. Many people, maybe even you, have run away from this journey so many times.

👉What might be different in your life if you didn't run away this time?
👉What freedoms might you find resting in the Lords strength over your own?
👉What chains in your life might you break free from if you prioritzed yourself and put in the hard work?

Let us know in the comments below 👇what you want to break free from today.

Happy Thursday friends!

Guess what?? It turns out that you and I can't save the world. We don't have any power to do so even if we wanted to.

We can lead a horse to water, even stick his head in it, but the horse still has to make the choice to drink the water on his own.

In the same way we can naturally share God’s love in our everyday lives, and we can fight for those we love in prayer, but we can not make anyone choose to be saved by Jesus.

There is a way for every person you know to realize how valuable they are to God. The more you and I are willing to step into showing the love of Jesus, the more others will experience the love of Jesus in a world full of division, lack of true self care, value, and a world willing to push us more and more into isolation when God's heart for us is community.

Not too long ago, I had the world as I knew it turned upside down. The way I had been serving women the past 3 years was abruptly canceled. The women I was serving meant the world to me, and I felt as though I couldn't leave them, they are mine, they need me. Who else will see the unseen women if I am not there?

As my heart was breaking, my good friend gave me the book, “How Not To Save The World” by Hosanna Wong. What Hosanna helped me realize was that with or without me, God's plan would move forward in each woman's life that I was a part of, that he invited me into a relationship with them, but he didn't actually need me to save anyone. I actually don't even have the power to do so, and ultimately the relationship wasn't canceled, just the avenue in which I was used to seeing these women was canceled.

👉John 14:6 tells us Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Guess what?? This means you are off the hook!🙌

When we try to be the savior we take the glory from God and make it about us. My guess is that’s never the intention, I know it wasn't mine, but how often do we get caught up in holding ourselves accountable for others' relationship with Jesus, or responsible for making sure they are healed or whatever that may look like for you??

What might happen if you showed up, loved your pants off and let go of the burden to save? What might happen if you place all that energy into what God might really be calling you to do??

I wanna know what God-given dreams you have been holding back on because you have been busy saving everyone else?? What's in your heart?? Share in the comments below👇 .

Changing my thoughts has literally transformed the way I mother my kids.

It took years to uncover the fears and the toxic thoughts that were bossing me around.

I was persistently dysregulated; yelling, zoning out, short fused, anxious, and running on empty.

But once I faced some underlying fears and stopped trying to get around them, everything changed.

I had to get to the root of the problem.

We all have some pesky characters embedded in our brains that like to use negative emotions to lead our behavior.

What took me almost six years to figure out, we expedite in the Resilient mindset bootcamp for parents.

In 6-9 weeks we see calmer parents.

When our clients keep going we see exponential growth and changes.

Fear, stress and anxiety in motherhood are crushing families and it just doesn’t have to be that way.

You can calm the chaos in your heart even when chaos is swirling around you.

Don’t let your toxic thoughts keep bossing you around and hijacking’s the best parts of parenthood.

So grateful that God made me insatiably curios and brought me tools that transformed our family.

Now I want to share them with you!

“Dreams are stupid, they never come true so why would I even dare to dream big or small.”

We hosted a dream + vision event a few years ago and one of the leaders on our team refused to participate.

Even after weeks of coaching the team through the why and the biblical lesson behind the session she was still stuck.

It was a blockade in her spirit, her mind and even her body.

She was triggered.

Triggered by past stories, by trauma, discouragement, fear…

She wasn’t alone. I had met many women that were living in a survival brain life.

But God.

I saw her four years later.

Her faith increased, her mind more mentally fit, her soul healing.

Notice that I had nothing to do with that transformation. It was never about me.

Differentiated leaders can take a step back and connect with the heart, not be taken out by the behavior, nor fall into a hero trap.

God is ultimately the real MVP.

She sat across the table at coffee and told me about her little girls visions and dreams.

She told me how she was praying for the next generation to be filled with them.

I went home and cried.

I don’t know where you are in your faith journey, but girl, you were made to dream.

Not safe dreams; but wild and impossible dreams.

God is not withholding anything from you, it’s more likely it feels risky to allow yourself to go deeper.

I know because I have been there. I know because I am still hiding the biggest and wildest dreams in my heart a little bit afraid to say them out loud.

Thankfully I have a small circle that I can trust with the biggest and wildest of my dreams.

Her Catalyst Coaching exists to be that safe place for you.

Are you holding back?

Is today the day you claim the wildest dreams God has placed in your heart?

We want to pray with you over those dreams. Be sure to share them below or send us a DM.

On your team forever!

Fourteen years ago, I hosted my first retreat.

We scrambled to gather a few ladies and we were gifted our location to serve our fledgling team.

The next two retreats were a messy wild adventure and quite frankly one was a bit of a dumpster fire.

We kept going.

14 years later and countless retreats and we are opening a new course to teach other women the art of crafting retreats.

We can’t get over the simple truth:

One thing remained despite the mistakes, retreat was somehow the most powerful event we hosted as far as coaching leaders, training teams and growing relationships.

We have hosted micro retreats and sold out large retreats and I think every single year we leave saying, “that was my favorite retreat ever.”

Spring retreat was intimate and powerful. We had to pivot but God showed off once again and made sure His plans were better than ours.

We all left with renewed vision, deep rest, fresh courage, hope and some grit and determination to keep going wherever God is calling.

These ladies re-committed to God’s timeline as they pressed into their own resilience narratives.

Rooted in Resilience ✨
