The kids are doing well. Elaine continues to serve God faithfully.

The ROCK children, staff, missionaries, and Malava community celebrated both the marriage of previous R.O.C.K. missionary, Julie Kronberg, but also the progress of Malava that Elaine has dedicated 31 years to seeing in action. It was also a dedication to the multipurpose hall that is now open to be used by the community. Praise God for his faithfulness over the years to Elaine and the ministry.

There's peace in Kisumu this morning, and things are looking promising. Please keep praying.

Odinga 'respects election ruling' Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga has accepted the ruling of the Supreme Court that his rival Uhuru Kenyatta won the presidential election in a free and fair poll.

Friends and supporters of ROCK Ministries - We are asking for your prayers for both the ministry and the people in Kisumu. The Supreme Court recently decided to uphold the results of the election in early March which caused a lot of opposition. Because of tribal conflicts, Kisumu is the hot spot for this opposition. There is much violence taking place in various parts of town, and some of the staff of ROCK is in danger as they live in these hot spot areas. The neighborhood of the compound is currently quiet, but they were informed to stay on the compound. Please pray against any attack of the enemy in violence and hatred between tribes, for the continual safety of the ROCK family and staff, and peace in the country.

ATTENTION NEBRASKA! Elaine will on Cornhusker turf January 8-14th! Julie Grotelueschen will be hosting an open house for her in Omaha on Thursday, January 10th, from 6 - 9 p.m. She will be at Christ Lutheran School in Columbus, NE at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 11th. She will also be sharing at Christ Lutheran Church for the adult bible study at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, January 13th. We would love for you to come and see her, or meet her for the first time!

In the Highland, Illinois area? Elaine will be making a visit there as well! She will be speaking at Family Bible Church in Highland on Sunday, January 6, from 10 am. to 12 p.m. There will be an open house following the service at 45 Arrowleaf Street. Hey Nebraska! Elaine will be visiting January 8th-14th. A specific schedule will be coming soon, but there will be an open house as well as several opportunities for you to come and hear her share!
