Look at those big smiles! Our amazing K-5 students who scored at or above grade level on their STAR testing got to step outside, enjoy the beautiful sunshine, and celebrate their big achievement with fun games and delicious popsicles! ☀️🍦

Once a Doerun Deer, Always a Deer❤️🦌
We love seeing our former students continue to shine! 🌟
Alumni Ian Martin and Bentley Cook are now at WJW Middle School, and they are continuing a special tradition they mastered right here at Doerun Elementary. During their time with us, Ian and Bentley were proud members of our Honor Guard. Under the guidance of Mr. Martinez, they learned proper flag etiquette—including how to raise, lower, and respectably fold our nation’s flag each day.
Now at WJW, they are taking on that same leadership role and keeping the tradition alive. We could not be prouder of their dedication, respect, and service! 🇺🇸✨

🎉Courtyard Commotion! 🌟
At Doerun Elementary, we believe in lifting up our students and recognizing their outstanding effort, leadership, and positive behavior! Every Friday we celebrate our students who earn Positive Office Referrals during our weekly Courtyard Commotion!

When a student goes above and beyond in their learning or shows exemplary character, they earn a Positive Office Referral—and we make sure the whole school knows about it!

Here is how we celebrate:
🌸Gathering in the Courtyard: The entire school community gathers around the courtyard covered walkways to honor our student leaders.
🏃‍♂️The Victory Lap: When a student's name is called, they take a victory run around the courtyard, hand-in-hand with the teacher who nominated them!
👏🏻Cheers & Chants: Classmates and staff line the halls, clapping, cheering, high-fiving, and chanting their names to show support.
Building a positive, encouraging school environment is at the heart of everything we do. We are so proud of our students for striving for excellence every day, and we love having a staff that constantly uplifts and celebrates every success.
