I mentioned this in my stories as an early sign of autism and got so many messages, I decided to make a whole post about it! The main thing here is that it’s considered atypical when a child does this without other communicative attempts first! It’s also important to remember that autism is a constellation of characteristics, not just 1-2 actions. Just as important to remember, not all kids diagnosed with autism will demonstrate every single characteristic- all kids are different! Check my stories for more info on this topic!
