➕🧮 Sum It Up in 8th Grade Math! 🧮➕

Today, our 8th grade mathematicians put their problem-solving skills to the test with a game called Sum It Up! 🎉

Students worked in teams to solve equations, calculate their individual answers, and combine them to find their group sum. Teams had to check their work for accuracy, catch mistakes, and help one another correct errors before moving on to the next round.

This activity was challenging, competitive, and SO much fun! Students practiced not only their math skills but also teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. 💪📚

We love seeing our students challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and work together toward a common goal! Way to go, Hornets! 🐝💜🩵

CMS is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a **Blood Drive** on **Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.** in the CMS Gym.

🎯 **Our goal is 70 pints of blood donated!**

Every donation has the potential to save lives, and we would love for our CMS families, staff, and community members to join us in making a difference.

This week, we celebrate National School Lunch Week and recognize the amazing cafeteria team at Central Middle School!

Every day, our cafeteria staff works hard to provide nutritious, delicious meals that fuel our students for learning, growing, and succeeding. From early mornings to lunchtime smiles, they play an important role in keeping our Hornets ready for the day ahead.

Thank you to our dedicated cafeteria team for the care, hard work, and kindness you show our students each day. We appreciate all you do to make mealtime a positive experience for everyone at CMS!

-Cereal/Oatmeal

Bring in your food to your homeroom teacher so they can record your contributions!
